DIVERSITY RECEIVER FOR GROUND DIGITAL BROADCAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive UHF television broadcast and VHF one with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A diversity receiver for ground digital broadcast comprises UHF receivers 21, 23 of at least two systems for converting the frequency of a UHF television signal to an intermediate frequency signal, VHF receiver 26, 28 of at least two systems for converting the frequency of a VHF television signal to the intermediate frequency signal, and a diversity synthesis means 35 for synthesizing the phase of a plurality of intermediate frequency signals for OFDM demodulation. The diversity receiver for ground digital broadcast changes the respective intermediate frequency signals outputted from the UHF receivers 21, 23 of at least two systems or the respective ones outputted from the VHF receivers 26, 28 of at least two systems for inputting to the diversity synthesis means 35.
