NAVIGATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an arrival even when a destination not allowing advance of a vehicle is set. SOLUTION: This navigation apparatus having a present position detecting means 2 for detecting the present position of the vehicle, an input means 1 for inputting the destination, a route searching means 7 for searching a route up to the destination input by the input means, and a control means 9 for conducting a guide up to the destination along the route searched by the route searching means, is further provided with a determination means 8 for determining whether the destination is within a vehicle advance prohibited area or not. The control means expands a destination arrival determination area, when the destination is determined to be within the vehicle advance prohibited area by the determination means, and finishes the guide when the arrival into the area is detected by the present position detecting means.
