Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oil leak so as to accurately cancel the centrifugal oil pressure without increasing the production cost. SOLUTION: In a belt-type continuously variable transmission, a balance plate 880 serving as a member which forms a second oil pressure chamber to generate canceling oil pressure, is fabricated in an annular shape by press working and its outer peripheral surface is cut and finished with high dimensional accuracy. The balance plate 880 has an outer peripheral portion including a first joint surface 880E, an inclined surface 880F and a second joint surface 880G. An inner peripheral surface of an external cylinder section 840 of a movable sheave includes a first connecting surface 840E corresponding to the first joint surface 880E, a slant surface 840F corresponding to the inclined surface 880F and a second connecting surface 840G corresponding to the second joint surface 880G.
