Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional barrel plating apparatus can not have adequately performed chromium plating treatment, in other words, can not have applied sufficiently high current density for the deposition of chromium ions. SOLUTION: In the barrel plating apparatus having a barrel with a regularly polyhedral section between a pair of support plates facing each other, which is rotated by a drive motor and a gear mechanism transmitting the force, this plating apparatus has an axial anode fixed to the rotation center of the barrel; belt-shaped cathodes rotating in synchronization with the rotation of the barrel, installed in an approximately central part in each drum wall of the polyhedron of the barrel; a nonconductive seal for preventing a current from passing to the upper hemihedron, arranged above the axial anode; a feeding power junction to the belt-shaped cathode formed above one of the support plates; and an electric wire hung down through a rotary connector from the feeding power junction, installed through the inside of a bellows pipe.
