Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oxide-containing nickel powder which prevents peeling between layers from occurring when sintering an internal electrode formed of fine Ni powder having particle sizes smaller than 0.1 μm together with a dielectric ceramic of a MLCC (multilayer ceramic capacitor). SOLUTION: This production method comprises heating anhydrous nickel chloride 100 in a vessel 2 to 1,000°C to sublimate it; and heating a liquid 101 of silicon tetrachloride in a vessel 16 to 50 to 100°C along with bubbling it with Ar gas. The vaporized gas of silicon tetrachloride from the vessel 16 is mixed with the vaporized gas of nickel chloride in the vessel 2, and the mixture is supplied to a reaction section surrounded by a heating coil 11. The mixture gas is heated to 1,100°C in the reaction section. Then, the gas of nickel chloride is reduced by hydrogen gas into the nickel fine powder, and the gas of silicon tetrachloride is oxidized by water vapor to be converted to silicon dioxide, deposit on the surface of the nickel fine powder, and provide the oxide-containing nickel fine powder dotted with the fine particles of silicon dioxide thereon.
