Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method for a transparent material like glass and the like using a laser beam and taking advantage of a laser beam property. SOLUTION: A glass plate 11 being the transparent material to be worked, a beam absorber 12, another glass plate 13 to press the beam absorber uniformly and a weight 14 are piled on an X-Y stage 10. The transparent material placed on the beam absorber is irradiated with the laser beam 1 from a transparent material side for heating and then a degeneration part is formed at the transparent material. A sacrificing glass plate 15 may be placed between the transparent material and the beam absorber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
