SELF-HEALING CONCRETE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve water cut-off property by restoring a large crack such as a through-crack by itself without using an organic-based material even in concrete in a region except low water/powder ratio. SOLUTION: The concrete is made by blending to contain water, powder containing cement, an expanding material and an inorganic cement crystal proliferation material, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and the like. In such a case, the weight ratio (water powder ratio) of water to the powder containing cement, the expanding material and inorganic cement crystal proliferation material is controlled to ≤60%, the weight of the expanding material is controlled to 10-80 kg/m3and the weight of the inorganic cement crystal proliferation material is controlled to 0.1-10 kg/m3.
