SURFACE MOUNTING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten tact time, and also improve image recognition accuracy of a sucked component. SOLUTION: A surface mounting machine is designed to suck a component from a component supply section 4 by a movable head unit 6, carry it to a mounting position, and mount it on a printed board 3 set at the mounting position. A movable table 25 holding a mirror 26 for reflecting the image of the sucked component is movably provided between the supply 4 and the mounting position. The movable table 25 is driven and controlled to move below a component conveyance path of the head unit 6 prior to the conveyance of the component by the head unit 6. When the component is to be mounted, the image of the sucked component reflected by the mirror 26 is picked up by a camera 18 mounted on the head unit 6, when the head unit 6 passes above the movable table 25.
