Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for pretreating fly ash, by which a heavy metal, or the like, can be restrained from being eluted from fly ash, which has such a merit that the waste water generated when the fly ash pretreated by this method is treated wetly can be treated without using a chemical as far as possible and by which fly ash can be used as a heavy metal resource. SOLUTION: When fly ash is treated wetly, fly ash is crushed beforehand. It is desirable that the crushed fly ash has ≥10 m2/g specific surface area, the volume-converted frequency of the crushed fly ash having 1 μm particle diameter is ≥0.01% when measured by a laser type particle size distribution measuring apparatus or the volume-converted frequency of the crushed fly ash having ≤10 μm particle diameter is ≥90% when measured by the laser type particle size distribution measuring apparatus. When fly ash is crushed beforehand and the crushed fly ash is treated wetly, the heavy metal, or the like, can be restrained from being eluted to a liquid from the crushed fly ash.
