Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which converts a document to image data with a composite raster content format having a plurality of binary foreground flat surface, and also provide a method therefor. SOLUTION: Pixels having similar colors and edge features are specified by analyzing image data for each line. Pixels existing on a line are linked with pixels existing on another line when these lines share similar features. These linked pixels are grouped together as an area, and the average color of the area is computed.
