Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-current (DC) power supply system for a nuclear power plant to efficiently supply DC power to a short-time power supply load and to a long-time power supply load by switching between power-supply object loads corresponding to the discharge characteristics of respective power storage devices. SOLUTION: This DC power supply system comprises the plurality of power storage devices 2 and 5 different in discharge characteristics and a supply-source switching device 7 as power storage devices for supplying power to DC-driven loads. Switching is performed on the switching device 7 correspondingly to discharge time. After a commercial power source is lost, power is supplied from the storage device 5 excelling in short-time discharge characteristics for a short and definite period of time. For a definite period of time after switching takes place in power supply devices, power is supplied from the storage device 2 excelling in long-time discharge characteristics.
