APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RECEIVING SIGNAL IN COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM USING MULTIPLEX INPUT AND MULTIPLEX OUTPUT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for receiving signals, taking into consideration the frequency selective fading channel environment. SOLUTION: In this signal-receiving method, a first received signal received through a plurality of receiving antennas is equalized according to a first scheme, and each of the equalized transmitting antenna signals is subjected to inverse spread, according to a plurality of spreading codes used in the transmitter. The maximum transmitted antenna signal is detected from among the transmitted antenna signals subjected to the inverse spreading and is decoded, according to a second scheme to verify errors. The verified maximum transmitting antenna signal is reproduced as an interference signal, and a second received signal is generated, by subtracting the interference signal from the first received signal and is equalized, according to the first scheme.
