MOVING IMAGE EDITING METHOD AND MOVING IMAGE EDITING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image editing method and an apparatus which can make tree structure even when moving image to be edited is not stored in an information storing apparatus and which perform moving image edition without making tree structure by storing again edition image material in an information storing apparatus and performing again edition operation even when image information in which moving image edition is already performed and which is stored in the information storing apparatus is erased. SOLUTION: This apparatus is the moving image editing apparatus in which a moving image is edited by video material supplied from a video material source by operating display on an edition screen on the edition screen displayed on a display apparatus. The video material is divided into a plurality of cut pictures comprising a plurality of frame pictures, a representative frame picture representing each cut picture is displayed on the edition screen, and the representative frame picture is displayed in an order of state in which it is divided into cut pictures.
