SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TESTING OPTICAL FIBER COMMUNICATION LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test system and method for an optical fiber communication line applied for a test for confirming a medium condition in the optical fiber communication line using an optical fiber. SOLUTION: This system/method is provided with testing devices 5, 15 connected to an end part of the optical fiber communication line, for making test lights 8, 13 having wavelengths different from those of communication lights 6, 7 get incident into the optical fiber 11, and for detecting the reflected test lights 8, 13 to test the optical fiber communication line, and an optical filter 12 having a shielding characteristic to the wavelength of each of the communication lights 6, 7, and having a transmission characteristic to the wavelength of each of the test lights 8, 13.
