Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a useful additive by extending the usefulness of raw leaves and to decrease the generation of waste residue when the raw leaves are processed. SOLUTION: A method for producing the additive containing indigo, indirubin or isatin comprises a step of freezing reaped raw leaves, a step of thawing the frozen raw leaves, a step of hydrolyzing indican contained in the leaves if necessary by adding β-glucosidase enzyme to an enzyme existing in the thawed raw leaves, a step of oxidizing indoxyl produced by hydrolyzing, and a step of making the raw leaves containing indigo, indirubin or isatin obtained by oxidizing into a muddy or a paste-like form by adjusting the water content of the raw leaves. If necessary, the additive of the muddy or the paste-like form is made into a powder by further removing the water through drying and by pulverizing it by using a crusher. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
