ORNAMENTAL BEAD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornamental bead having a high design effect and a good outward appearance and a hair ornament using the ornamental bead, and to provide a method for manufacturing the ornamental bead efficiently. SOLUTION: The ornamental bead 10 is composed of a core material 11, cloth 12 covering the surface thereof and a transparent layer 13 formed on the surface of the cloth. In the ornamental bead 10, a straight through hole 14 piercing the whole is formed and a through hole 14a in the portion of the transparent layer has a smooth inner surface. As for the manufacturing method of the ornamental bead, an ornamental core 16 is formed by sticking the cloth on the core material 11 and then a spindle 18 having a smooth surface is inserted into a through hole 15 of the core material 11. The end of the spindle being placed at the edge of the periphery of a cavity, the transparent layer 13 is molded by centrifugal casting and the spindle is extracted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
