Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a peptide having good efficiency and to provide a variant type microorganism by using the method. SOLUTION: The variant type microorganism is obtained by transforming a microorganism with a recombinant DNA, in which one or more kinds of genes on a chromosome selected from the group consisting of a gene encoding aminoacylhistidinepeptidase, a gene encoding leucylaminopeptidase and a gene encoding isoaspartyldipeptidase are broken, containing a polynucleotide encoding a protein having a peptide-producing activity and culturing the transformed microorganism in a culture medium. The method for producing the peptide comprises mixing at least either one of the cultured microorganism and breakage product of the cell of the microorganism with a carboxyl component and an amine component to synthesize the peptide.
