Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience and operability of focusing in reading a character with a camera. SOLUTION: A character string to be read is taken in by a camera part 101 to generate image data. In the generated image data, a part of coordinates of a scope recognizing the character string to be read (a recognition frame) is specified by coordinates specifying part 104 of a preview screen control part 103. The image data surrounded by the specified coordinates are cut out by a cut-out processing part 105, and the cut out image data are enlarged by an enlarging part 106. The enlarged images are overlapped in the recognition frame and composited by the preview image control part 103. The composited image data are displayed by a display part 107. In the preview screen displayed by the display part 107, the recognition frame is displayed, and when a photographing key of an operation part 102 is depressed, the character string in the recognition frame is recognized by a character recognition part 109.
