PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having an arrangement of which the miniaturization and thickness reduction are possible. SOLUTION: The camera 1 is constituted by providing a frame 6, a lens frame unit 7 which incorporates a photographic optical system and a CCD, a battery chamber board 11 which forms a battery chamber, an LCD unit 8 which is a display monitor, a main capacitor 25, a sub-substrate 17 and a main substrate 15 on which a media slot 16 is mounted as main components to be stored in a front cover 2, a middle cover 3 and a rear cover 4. The lens frame unit 7 and the battery chamber board 11 are held on the front surface of a first area part 6a on the right side of the frame 6, the LCD unit 8 is arranged on the side of the rear surface 6b of the first area part 6a, the main capacitor 25 and the sub-substrate 17 are arranged in front of a second area part 6c on the left side of the frame 6, the main substrate 15 is arranged in front of the lens frame unit of the battery chamber at a state that it is fixed to the frame 6 and the miniaturization and the thickness reduction are realized by the camera 1.
