Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of smoothly adjusting amount of refrigerant in refrigerating cycle in a small capacity vessel without causing liquid return into a compressor and operated in a supercritical refrigerating cycle. SOLUTION: This refrigerator is provided with the compressor, a high pressure gas cooler for cooling high pressure side gas refrigerant, a first restriction device, an intermediate receiver for adjusting amount of refrigerant in refrigerating cycle, a second restriction device, an evaporator, and a refrigerating cycle device forming a closed circuit by connecting air-liquid separators sequentially in series. The refrigerating cycle device is operated in supercritical refrigerating cycle during normal operation. This refrigerator is constituted in such a way that a section between the compressor and the first restriction device is in a high pressure condition, a section between the first restriction device and the second restriction device is in an intermediate pressure condition, a section between the second restriction device and the compressor is in a low pressure condition, and liquid refrigerant separated by the air-liquid separators returns into the evaporator.
