Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reformed woody board which can be improved in fire retardancy by the addition of a chemical and improve productivity by facilitating its production and a method for producing the board. SOLUTION: Japanese cedar chips are immersed in an immersion tank for 8 h or longer. The immersion tank is filled with a fire retardant aqueous solution prepared by dissolving a phosphoric acid compound and a boric acid compound in water to be 20 wt.% in concentration. The treated chips, after being dewatered, are dried to a prescribed water content and converted into a board by using an adhesive.
