Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of read-out information on an ink tank in an inkjet recording apparatus which is constituted so that the ink tank can be arbitrarily detached/attached. SOLUTION: The ink tank is detachably attached to an immovable part which is separated from a recording head; nonvolatile memory for storing the information on the ink tank is attached to the ink tank; and a sensor for detecting an opened/closed state of an ink tank cover, which is opened in the detachment and attachment of the ink tank, is provided so that the information of a storage medium can be read out in a state wherein the ink tank is attached. The handling of the ink tank cover during readout is monitored, and the readout is performed again when the opening of the ink tank cover is determined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
