SUCTION DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC VACUUM CLEANER AND ELECTRIC VACUUM CLEANER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an electric vacuum cleaner functionally user-friendly by providing a mechanism for rotating a suction device 90 degrees to the right or the left by a simple twisting operation. SOLUTION: The electric vacuum cleaner is equipped with a main body 1, 2 of the suction device with an opening on the side of a surface to be cleaned, a joint part comprising a main joint part 5 supported to rotate in a prescribed direction to the main body of the suction device and a subsidiary joint part 6 supported to rotate in the direction perpendicular to the prescribed direction to the main joint part, a roller 18 which comes in contact with the surface to be cleaned and is provided in the rear of the opening of the main body of the suction device, a shaft which supports either the main or the subsidiary joint to rotate vertically and is placed between the roller and the opening, and a click structure at a rotating part rotating to the right and left of the joint part. The electric vacuum cleaner becomes more user-friendly because of the suction device which rotates 90 degrees to the right and left and never causes the front part to lift.
