Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system wherein the communication state of a mobile wireless station can be kept in an excellent state even when the mobile wireless station moves in a service area. SOLUTION: The CPU 210 of the mobile wireless station 2 during transmission makes a reception circuit 202 periodically detect the electric field strength of a received radio wave, discriminates that a distance from a base station 1 during communication is far when the electric field strength of the received radio wave is lower than a preset value, controls the reception circuit 202 to receive the radio wave with the transmission frequency from base stations 1 other than the base station 1 during communication, to detect the electric field strength of the received radio waves, to receive the radio wave of the base station 1 with the strongest electric field strength, switches a communication destination to the base station 1 when data of a DTMF signal of this radio wave indicate "transmission permitted", receives radio waves in stronger orders of the electric field strength when the data indicate "transmission prohibited", and switches the communication destination to the base station 1 whose data of the DTMF signal indicate "transmission permitted".
