Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read an ID code of a multiplicity of IC tags in a short period of time and accurately. SOLUTION: The IC tag 2 comprises a means for retaining a unique ID (a unique ID storage register 206), a means for retaining an abbreviated ID (an abbreviated ID storage register 207), and a matching detection means for detecting the matching of its own abbreviatable field and the abbreviatable field transmitted from a reader/writer device 1 by an ID abbreviation table transmission command. When the matching is detected by the matching detection means, the abbreviated ID transmitted from the reader/writer device 1 is retained in the abbreviated ID storage register 207. When the IC tag transmits its own unique ID by an inventory command from the reader/writer device 1, the abbreviated ID and an unabbreviatable field are transmitted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
