COATING DRYING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet-on-wet coating method of a water-borne base coating and a clear coating capable of ensuring good appearance of a finish coating surface while performing low temperature and shortening of a pre-heat step. SOLUTION: In the coating drying method, viscosity of a first coating comprising a water-borne base coating containing a scale piece-like coloring member and having first viscosity higher than the viscosity suitable for coating at room temperature is reduced to the viscosity suitable for coating by raising the temperature and is coated and endotherm is carried out while spreading to an object to be coated side after the object to be coated is coated with the first coating, thereby, the viscosity of the first coating is raised to the first viscosity or higher. The first coating spread to the object to be coated is wet-on-wet coated with a second coating comprising the clear coating and the first and second coating spread onto the object to be coated are simultaneously baked/dried.
