Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonvolatile storage device which has a simple constitution and of which the manufacturing cost is reduced. SOLUTION: The data storage devices (100 and 100') include storage media (102 and 102') each having an an electrode (110) and an electrolyte layer (108) arranged on the electrode (110). Each data storage device (100 and 100') further includes at least one probe (104) constituted so as to come in contact with the electrolyte layer (108). Moreover, each storage medium (102 and 102') includes a voltage source device (118) which is constituted so that it applies a voltage through at least one probe (104) and the electrolyte layer (108) and forms a circuit between at least one probe (104) and the electrode (110). At least one process among writing processes, a reading process and an erasing process are executed for one or more memory cells of the storage media (102 and 102') in accordance with the voltage level applied through at least one probe (104).
