Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partitionable computing system capable of protecting partitions in a system. SOLUTION: The partitionable computer system includes a state machine 132 configured so as to monitor the status of a partition, a processor 128 communicating with the state machine 132 through a communication link, and a device controller configured so as to receive status information. A packet generator communicates with the processor 128 to transmit a data packet including status information to a port having a firewall 134, and the firewall 134 abandons the data packet in the case that reception of its destination address is not permitted.
