REMOTE OBSTACLE MONITORING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the identification of the cause of failure, provision of countermeasures thereof, and the countermeasures to the notification of operation descriptions and costs to a user, when the failure occurs in a server in a remote place. SOLUTION: A plurality of service servers 1 and a maintenance management server 5 are connected through a communication line. A service server 1 is provided with a means for monitoring the failure of its own hardware, software or firmware and a means for integrating the contents of the failure whose generation is detected into an error code, and for transmitting the error code to the maintenance management server. The maintenance management server 5 is provided with a means for receiving the error code notified from the service server 1, and a means for retrieving a failure database 9 in which the failure information corresponding to the error code is stored based on the error code to be transmitted from the service server, and for specifying the failure contents and the countermeasure contents following the failure contents and a means for facilitating countermeasures to the failure following the specific countermeasure contents.
