PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device for displaying the dictionary information of electronic dictionary data by a simple operation by associating it with dates. SOLUTION: When a dictionary is selected by a user, and a "today" key installed in an input part 12 is depressed, a CPU 101 refers to the storage area of the selected object dictionary of a dictionary storage part 104, and decides whether or not index data are stored. When the index data are stored, the CPU 101 acquires the current date from a clock part 105, and acquires the address of the storage area of the dictionary information corresponding to the acquired date based on index data. The CPU 101 reads the dictionary information of the pertinent address from the dictionary data, and displays it at a display part 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
