COOLING DEVICE AND COOLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for effectively cooling an absorption refrigerator including a cooling partition and a freezing partition. SOLUTION: The absorption refrigerator includes a low temperature storage partition and a high temperature storage partition, and is provided with an evaporator tube including a first tube and a second tube, a battery 203 for supplying power to electronic equipment, a control system for controlling a start and a stop to control a temperature in the high temperature storage partition within a specified temperature range, and a heater. The control system 206 includes a sensor for detecting whether the battery 203 is now charged or not, or AC power is available or not. When the battery is charged or the AC power is available, a freezer control value is set to be a first set of freezer control values. When the battery is not charged or the AC power is not available, the freezer control value is set to be a second set of freezer control values and at least one of the second set of the freezer control values is set to be higher than both the freezer control values in the first set.
