Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transporting device capable of removing the remaining banknote certainly in a jam treatment. SOLUTION: The transporting device comprises transport paths 31, 35, 36, 43, 45, 50-52, 55, and 58 and jam sensing means 61-73 which sense a jam with the sheet etc. being transported there, and when jamming is sensed, the drive of a transporting means is stopped by a stop control means, and after stopping, the transporting means is driven to expel the remaining object on the transport paths 31, 35, 36 forcedly to an expelling part 23, and if any of the sensors 61-73 senses the remaining object during the forced expelling operation, the transporting means is stopped at the timing in which the object is sensed by the sensor 73 located nearest the expelling part 23.
