DROP GENERATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop generating apparatus such as a drop jet device. SOLUTION: In this drop generating apparatus, first and second linear arrays NA and NB, which are arranged side by side along a lateral axis so that a plurality of columnar arrays, composed of a plurality of nozzles 47, can be almost parallel to one another and can be each inclined with respect to the lateral axis, are arranged adjacently to one another along a longitudinal axis so that the respective columnar arrays can establish such a positional relationship as to be displaced by a predetermined distance from one another along the longitudinal axis. In the drop generating apparatus, a plurality of linear subcolumns, which are alternately engaged with one another, are formed so that the adjacent nozzles belonging to the same columnar array can form an odd-even nozzle pair in each columnar array; and the respective nozzles 47 are arranged so that X-axis-direction positions of the nozzles belonging to the linear array NA can correspond to one another and so that those of the nozzles belonging to the linear array NB can deviate from one another.
