Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install protective pieces, which can protect cables over arbitrary length between the sidewall of a manhole and the like and pipeline ends away from there, inside a pipeline without excavation work and without cutting cables, if the pipeline is pulled and moved by an earthquake, a flood, and the like. SOLUTION: A method comprises a process in which a plurality of the protective pieces 8, which have cable storing cavities and slits, are inserted into the pipeline 2 from an end opening 2a of the pipeline 2 already constructed until total length becomes a prescribed length, inserting the cables 3 into the cavities from each slit, covering the slits with caps 9, and connecting the protective pieces to each other by connecting means 11; and a process in which a rear-end fixing member 12 is fixed to the pipeline end opening inside the manhole and the rear end of the last protective piece is connected to the rear-end fixing member by the connecting means.
