Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a speedy and sure start even in the environment at temperatures below the freezing point, and to enable effective operation by effectively reducing fuel consumption. SOLUTION: A unit cell 14 comprises: an electrolyte film-electrode structure 22 where a solid polymer electrolyte film 36 is arranged between an anode side electrode 38 and a cathode side electrode 40; and a first and a second separator 24, 26. The first separator 24 is provided with: an oxidizer gas exhaust communication hole 30b; and a cooling medium exhaust communication hole 32b and a cooling medium introduction hole 35 between which the oxidizer gas exhaust communication hole 30b is sandwiched. This cooling medium introduction hole 35 communicates with the cooling medium passage 48, and supplies the cooling medium passage 48 with a warmed cooling medium to perform warm-up.
