Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe passenger conveyor with a low cost. SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor 3 is installed in a base-isolation side building 2 of which lower floor is a fixed side building 1 and upper floor is disposed movably with respect to the fixed side building 1. The upper and lower parts of the passenger conveyor 3 are supported by the fixed side building 1, and an extended floor 12 lapping over the floor 11 of the base-isolation side building 2 is disposed on an upper entrance floor 9 of the passenger conveyor 3. The base-isolation side building 2 has a fixed fence 14 for blocking building openings 12 formed on the side of the base-isolation side building 2 and the passenger conveyor 3, and a telescopic handrail 17 disposed between struts 15 and 18 of which one is disposed in the base-isolation side building 2 and the other side is disposed on the passenger conveyor 3 side.
