Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain wavelength conversion light having stable power even when outside air temperature is varied and to reduce the electric power required therefor. SOLUTION: In a wavelength conversion laser device 100 wherein the wavelength of a basis wave emitted from an optical resonator constituted of a semiconductor optical amplification element 1 and a polarization holding type optical fiber 2 having a grating part 3 formed in the interior thereof is converted into a second high harmonic by a wavelength conversion element 5 and the resultant wave is outputted, temperature of the polarization holding type optical fiber 2 is fixedly controlled by a temperature controlling circuit 22. Since the temperature of the polarization holding type optical fiber 2 is not varied even when outside air temperature is varied according to device, the polarization ratio is not varied and wavelength conversion light having stable power can be obtained. The electric power required for obtaining the wavelength conversion light can be highly efficiently reduced, heat generation can be suppressed and the life of the device can be extended.
