Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter, preventing high pressure of engagement oil pressure of a lock-up clutch. SOLUTION: A converter chamber 42 is formed between an outer disc part 43 of a front cover 13 and an impeller shell 15. The outer disc part 43 is provided with a bulkhead partitioning between a clutch chamber 51 and the converter chamber 42. The clutch chamber 51 accommodates a drive plate 45 as the input side of engine output, a driven plate 46 as the output side, and a lock-up pin 48 forming an engagement oil chamber 49 in a space up to an inside disc part 40 of the front cover 13.
