Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for an exhaust gas after-treatment device functioning as a burner with excellent combustion characteristics by improving atomization characteristics. SOLUTION: This auxiliary device for the exhaust gas after-treatment device is formed to supply air to a spray nozzle 7 through a first passage 8. A fuel is supplied to the first passage 8 by an injector 10, heated in the spray nozzle 7 by a glow plug 6 to promote the atomization of the fuel, and sprayed satisfactorily from a spray hole 7B. A cylindrical tube 19 is disposed to form a conduit, jet body from the spray nozzle 7 is fed from an opening 2A through the conduit, the air is supplied from a second passage 22 into the conduit, the fuel is burned by an ignition plug 20 in the cylindrical tube 19 to supply flame gas. Since only the air is jetted from the spray nozzle 7, deposits in the spray nozzle 7, spray hole 7B, and device can be washed clean to stabilize the operation and increase the reliability. Also, the device is so formed that annular discharge ports are formed on the tip part outer periphery of the spray nozzle, and the air from the passage is discharged therefrom in a skirt shape to prevent sprayed fuel from adhering to the wall surface of the cylindrical tube.
