Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the correct center point position of an optical recording disc fitted to a disc tray in a shorter time than when a conventional device is used and without advancing the disc tray to the outside of a recording device, in the recording device equipped with the disc tray internally installed in such a way that the disc tray is movable in a subscan direction. SOLUTION: In this recording device, the rear end of a reference mark 73 is detected by a PW sensor 34 and the value obtained by adding a correction value HR_YLU to an integrated value of a conveyance level in a position where the rear end of the reference mark 73 is detected, is given as a reference position (CY=0) for a disc tray 7 conveyance position. In addition, a position which is transferred by a conveyance level obtained by adding a correction value PCYoffset to 1672step as "established value α" toward the center position of an optical recording disc 7 from the reference position (CY=0), is given as a center position Yc of the optical recording disc D in a subscan direction Y. The "established value α" is a value represented by an interval between the reference mark 73 and the center point position CP of the optical recording disc D as fitted to an optical disc fitting part 72 in the subscan direction Y.
