METHOD AND DEVICE TO GENERATE UP-SAMPLED SIGNAL OF TIME DISCRETE AUDIO SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device to generate up-sampled signals of time discrete audio signals. SOLUTION: Audio signals are sampled at a first sampling rate and analyzed audio signals are given (2001 and 2003). The analyzed signals include L analyzed sub-band signals obtained by L channel analysis filter banks. The analyzed audio signals are filtered (2005 and 2007) using QL channel synthesis filter banks having L low region channels and L(Q-1) high region channels to form up-sampled signals of time discrete audio signals. The up-sampled audio signals are made into the signals having the same bandwidth of the audio signals and the bandwidth of the up-sampled audio signals is expanded by patching the number of the L low region channel sub-band signals to the number of high region channels.
