IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an image forming apparatus, without impairing the reliability of a belt in the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In a color printer 1, a transfer conveyance belt 8 for sequentially transferring toner images formed by image formation parts 2 to 5 and overlapping colors is driven by a driving roller 9 with a relatively small radius (a). A driving roller cover 10 with relatively large radius b is arranged near the driving roller 9, and most part of the transfer conveyance belt 8 is flexed with the radius b. Then, the radius b is set as the size with which a flexing load is reduced, and the radius (a) is set as the size with which the apparatus is miniaturized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
