Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing structure for a throttle shaft capable of smoothly opening and closing a valve element at a time of contraction of a bearing part of a body main unit and a method for manufacturing a throttle body provided with the bearing structure. SOLUTION: The throttle body 2 is provided with the body main unit 3, the throttle shaft 8 and the valve element 14. The body main element 3 has a resin air intake passage 7 formed therein. The throttle shaft 8 is rotatably provided via a tubular bearing 10 inserted a bearing part 9 of the body main unit 3. The valve element 14 is provided on the valve shaft 8 as one body and can slide on a end surface 10a in the air intake passage 7 side of a bearing 10 and is opened and closed by rotating the air intake passage 7. An outer circumference surface of the bearing 10 has a taper surface 10b having a smaller diameter in the air intake passage 7 side and a larger diameter in an opposite side of the air intake passage side.
