AIR BAG DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of making collision discrimination at an early stage when a lateral collision is given by another vehicle and shortening the time of collision discrimination. SOLUTION: The air bag device is configured so that judgement whether the colliding direction by another vehicle is on the right side face 20 of the vehicle concerned 10 or its left side face 21 is conducted on the basis of the integral resulting from a plurality of G-sensors 31-36 mounted on the right side face 20 and the left side face 21, and on the basis of the result from judging, the sampling period for the G-sensors 31-36 located in the collision predicted direction is controlled.
