LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a vehicle equipped with an optical axis deflecting means capable of controlling accurately the radiating direction of the lighting system by enhancing the rotating position accuracy of a drive motor and preventing the drive motor from hunting. SOLUTION: The lighting system for the vehicle is equipped with a rotating position sensing part 4341 to sense the rotating position of the drive motor as a rotational drive motive for deflecting the radiating optical axis of the lighting system installed in the vehicle and a control part 4342 to perform the rotating position control of the drive motor so as put into the set reference range, and when a motor stop sensing part 4343 has sensed a stop of the drive motor rotating, the dead band at the time of stopping in the control part 4342 is made wider than during rotation in conformity to the signal given by a dead band (reference range) changing part 4344. This widening of the dead band suppresses the occurrence that the rotating position of the drive motor goes out of the dead band even when the rotating position of the drive motor having stopped changes for a minor angle, and hunting in the drive motor can be prevented.
