COMPOSITE ROLLING ROLL MADE OF CEMENTED CARBIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite rolling roll made of cemented carbide, which suppresses reduction of strength, caused by the generation of an η phase in a jointed part between an outer layer and an inner layer, and prevents fatigue fracture caused by repeated stress due to rolling, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The composite rolling roll made of cemented carbide is formed by joining an inner layer consisting of a steel-based material or an iron-based material and an outer layer consisting of cemented carbide. In a rotary bending fatigue test in accordance with JIS Z2273 using a test piece having a test portion of 5 mm in diameter, the rotary bending fatigue strength of the test piece including a joined part of the outer and inner layers is ≥ 200 MPa.
