IMAGE TRANSMISSION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission apparatus which preferentially transmits specific coded data. SOLUTION: The image transmission apparatus includes a coding unit for encoding an image by a distinct code amount, at least first and second buffers for storing the coded data from the coding unit, and a buffer controller for monitoring the amount of the coded data stored in the buffer. The buffer controller has a predetermined threshold value for defining the amount of the coded data stored in at least the first buffer, and reads the coded data from the first buffer when the amount of the coded data of the first buffer exceeds the predetermined threshold value.
