IMAGE MONITORING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image monitor system for monitoring, based on a camera image taken by photographing the entire monitoring area. SOLUTION: The monitoring system has an automatic tracking function for automatically tracking the image of a motion-detected target based on a camera image to display its enlarged image, a designated tracking function for automatically tracking the target image designated by an operator on the entire image to display its enlarged image, a manual tracking function for tracking so as to follow up a position designated by the operator on the entire image to display its enlarged image, an automatic panning function for cutting out an image in a fixed section moving with time in the monitoring area based on the camera image taken by photographing the entire monitoring area to display its enlarged image, and a home position function for cutting out an image in a region cut out from the entire image to display its enlarged image after the operator designates the target on the entire image. The image of a target is selected according to the priority of each function designated in accordance with the situation, and automatically switches over the display style to display the target image.
