OPTICAL TAPE, OPTICAL TAPE CARTRIDGE, OPTICAL TAPE DRIVE, AND METHOD FOR RECORDING DATA TO OPTICAL TAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data in one optical tape in different track widths. SOLUTION: The optical tape OT 1 is subjected to tracking of an optical pickup unit P 1 by using servo signals SS 1 read from previously recorded servo tracks ST. The servo tracks ST are adjacently recorded in a plurality over the entire width or a portion in the transverse direction of the optical tape OT 1. Address signals AD 1 indicating the addresses for specifying track positions and the positions in the longitudinal direction of the optical tape are recorded at prescribed intervals separate from the servo signals SS 1 within the respective servo tracks ST.
