BRANCH ESTIMATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance estimation precision by reflecting branch information of a plurality of branch instructions to simultaneously complete on branch history by a branch estimation system which estimates branch using the branch history of the branch instructions. SOLUTION: A branch estimation system is constituted so that global history entryi110 (i=1, 2, to n) simultaneously receives identification information0and branch information0from the RSBR0of a branch reservation station 40, receives identification information1and branch information1from an RSBR1. The identification information0is compared with a tag stored in a tag part 111 using a comparator circuit 112, when they are matched, branch estimationi_0is generated from the branch information0and branch history in the past, the identification information1is compared with the tag stored in the tag part 111 using a comparator circuit 113 and when they are matched, branch estimationi_1is generated from the branch information1and the branch history in the past.
